As I promised here is my first post on AvP 2 tips please use these to the full extent as I promise they will make your gaming experience much funner. First I will introduce you to my favorite species the predator!  Now I believe I know what you are thinking oh a plasma newb! No no no you have be completly wrong and I will tell you why. I am 100% a honorable melle predator player and I will begin giving you tips on how you can be too!
First I will start you off with the basic melle weapon of the predator species! the Wrist Blades!
To begin with do not fret having to use this weapon! Even thow some players will suggest it is horrible absolete and unusable these statements are mainly untrue. If used with precision and care these simple weapon may become one of your favorites. When useing this weapon remember that the primary attack if much faster then the secondary but much weaker personaly I prefer the primary attack of this weapon against aliens over the secondary as aliens move around so franticaly it may be difficult to connect with your target useing the slow secondary attack. Against humans however this is a whole nother story this weapon is excelent against humans! One of the best tactics I use when wielding this weapon is to simply cloak in a well traveled place with the secondary attack fully charged and simply wait for a human to come close enough to impale. However if the human player does not get close enough you should use your super high leap to leap directly behind them as close as possible and take them out with utter suprise.
Now for your pleasure I will tell you about the ever-popular Combistick. This weapon with a speedy primary attack and powerfull secondary attack make it one of the most popular melle weapons in the game for good reason! 
Personaly I must admit I have a special place in my heart for this weapon. It is strong enough to get threw almost any armor with a reasonable amount of force and long enough to get those aliens before they have the chance to claw at your chest or bite threw your mask! To begin with I will stress leaping and timing your leap. Most alien predators overly use leap and it should be fairly easy to predict when they will use it be ready for this! learn to crouch/jump easily so you can leap at opourtune times. If you get your timing down correctly you are already on a running start to being a pro melle predator. Now ill tell you my strategy of dancing yes dancing! I know the word seems like it wouldnt apply to this game but when you do it that is what it looks and feels like. Most aliens are moveing around so rapidly that if you stand still you will either get leaped/clawed or even headbiten. Instead I stress that you practice dancing around your enemy slashing your long ranged combistick all the while most of the time ending up with a new trophy or at the very least a dead alien! You may prefere to use the secondary mode of this weapon but I would not suggest it against the fast moving alien drones instead only use it to do major damage to those slow moveing humans and those heavily armored but slow heavy predators and netted enemys.
 Lastly I will go over one of the more unique weapons in the gamethe Net Gun
This is a really unique weapon and can be very usefull. This weapon is most usefull againt humans and predators becuase they can only escape by switching to there knife/blades and cutting there way out. However against aliens it is rarely usefull as they can simply click the mouse button and escape. But If you want to just mess around and you are up against a very dum alien player you can go ahead and use this on them I suggest continuesly fireing it at them whatching them escape and get caught over and over again. But were this weapon really shines is against the human and predator species. You should try crouching on a one way preferable narrow walk way and wait for a human/predator player to run directly towards you and toss a few nets. The only thing you must worry about when useing this aproach is they can still fire directly infront of them and up to a 90 degree angle so you should quikly jump behind them and finsih them off with a combistick of blades. The thing I hate the most while using this gun and you most likly will to it the human players will either often automaticaly nade themselfs so that you do not get the kill or they will wait untill you are right upon them and then use the grenade.
